Santiago Through Time & Wine 2 people
Santiago Through Time & Wine 2 people
From Kilometer Zero to the wineries of 1856. Seven hours to read the city that few understand.
- Tour duration: Full day (Approx. 11 hours)
- Languages: English and Spanish
- Season: All year round
Walk, observe, decipher. In the heart of Santiago's historic center, you will explore five centuries of history in just a few blocks — from the valley's first inhabitants to the political trauma of the 20th century. The day concludes with a premium tasting at Santiago's oldest vineyard, founded in 1856 and still owned by its founding family.
Santiago — from Chile's Kilometer Zero to the stone-cut cellars of Cousiño Macul in Peñalolén. The tour has a clear narrative arc: it begins in the present, descends 14,000 years, rises to republican power, closes on the hill where it all began, has lunch at the city's most emblematic restaurant, and ends with the Maipo Valley in a glass.

Recommendations
Recommendations
■ La Moneda: The changing of the guard takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:00 AM. Chile Memories
adjusts the departure time on the tour day to ensure you don't miss the ceremony.
■ Pre-Columbian Museum: The visit is more impactful with the context the guide provides before
entering. Individual reservation included — no need to queue or manage tickets.
■ Bar Liguria: One of Santiago's most beloved restaurants, in a heritage building from 1906.
It is recommended to arrive without having had any previous lunch — the dishes are substantial and the experience
is fully worthwhile.
■ Cousiño Macul Tasting: The 6 glasses include different vintages from the Maipo Valley — it's not a generic
tasting. It is recommended to arrive without having consumed alcohol beforehand to appreciate the nuances. Bottle to
take home available at the winery's shop.
■ Duration: The full experience takes approximately 9 hours. It is not recommended to schedule
activities for that evening — the itinerary is dense, and the afternoon ends at the winery, far from the city center
