Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does the tour include?

Includes the following items: local guide, specified internal transfers, designated entrance fees/activities, and support from Chile Memories before and during the experience. Accommodations and meals are only included if explicitly mentioned.

What is NOT included?

Flights/transfers not mentioned, personal insurance, tips, personal expenses, and optional activities. If you have any questions, please write to us and we'll answer them immediately.

How do I book?

Click the WhatsApp button and tell us: tentative dates, number of people, type of trip (family, couple, friends/solo). We'll confirm availability and final price, and send you the secure payment link.

How do you pay?

Through a payment link (international/Chilean credit card) or Chilean transfer. To confirm your spot, we require a 30–50% deposit (depending on the tour). The balance is due 7–15 days before departure.

Can it be customized?

Yes. We can customize the pace, accommodations, activities, and extras (photography, tastings, hot springs, etc.). Our hallmark is tailoring it to your needs.

Spanish / English. Please inquire in advance for other languages.

Climate and recommended equipment

Layered clothing, a windbreaker/raincoat, comfortable shoes (for trekking), sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle. We'll send you a checklist based on your destination and season.

Health, ages and physical level

Most experiences are Easy/Medium . If you have medical conditions or are traveling with children/seniors, please let us know so we can adapt your plan.

Travel insurance

We recommend travel insurance that covers accidents, health, and cancellations. If you'd like, we'll help you with your options.

Photos and image use

We're welcome to take souvenir photos. We only share images with permission; if you prefer complete privacy, please let us know beforehand.

Change and cancellation policies

Rescheduling: Free of charge up to 15 days before the start date (subject to availability). Less than 15 days in advance: We will attempt to relocate you without penalty; if this is not possible, cancellation terms apply.

Cancellations by the traveler:
• Up to 30 days before: 90% refund of the total paid (administrative/operator costs are retained).
29–15 days : 70% refund.
14–7 days : 50% refund.
6 days or less / no-show : no refund.

Cancellation due to force majeure/severe weather/external causes: If safety is compromised or a provider closes for reasons beyond its control, we will offer to reschedule , change the activity , or provide a voucher for the amount paid. If you don't accept alternatives, we will apply a proportional refund based on unincurred costs.

Flights, delays, and documentation: Flights and personal documents (passport, visas, vaccinations) are the traveler's responsibility. If you arrive late or miss an activity due to reasons beyond the traveler's control, we will do our best to rebook you, but non-refundable fees may apply.

Destination conditions: Some tours have limited capacity and variable weather/operational conditions (e.g., national parks, navigation, climbing). The itinerary may be adjusted while maintaining the value of the experience.

Safety: We work with local guides and adhere to safety standards. Please follow your guide's instructions to protect your well-being and that of the environment.


Responsibility: Chile Memories acts as the organizer/curator of experiences alongside local operators. Each activity is governed by its protocols and insurance policies. By booking, you accept these policies and declare that you are fit to participate in the contracted activities.

I am Matías Clares , founder of Chile Memories .

From a very young age, my life has been marked by travel, nature, and tourism. I've been fortunate enough to travel the world—Italy, Colombia, Switzerland, Germany, Spain—and each country taught me something different: the importance of identity, service, attention to detail, and, above all, pride in what's ours.

For years, I worked in tourism and sports, guiding travelers, exploring mountains, rivers, and deserts, experiencing the essence of every corner of Chile. Along the way, I discovered a great truth: our country has a beauty that the world has yet to fully discover , and that inspired me to create Chile Memories.

This project was born as a cry of hope and love for Chile.

Because our tourism industry is still in its infancy, but it has infinite potential. Chile Memories seeks to contribute through art, design, and creativity, uniting fashion, experiences, and authentic memories that represent who we are.
